Studio Rules - Step 4

With the legal requirements for social distancing being lifted, we wanted to let you know what this means for our classes.

In reality, not much will change:

  • Most classes will still be the current workshop style, where you are guaranteed a pole/hoop per person
  • Some of the studio class numbers may increase in the future and in some pole classes this means you might have to share a pole if the class is full. (If and when this happens it will be clear which classes this applies to and there will still be lots of classes that are 1 per pole if you're not ready to share)
  • To ensure we always have adequate ventilation and space there will never be more than 12 people in a class
  • We will still be keeping up the same intense cleaning routine and if you are sharing a pole we’ll ask you to clean the pole between each person using it
  • Spotting will be at the discretion of the participants (instructor & student)  unless it is in an emergency.   If instructors do not feel comfortable spotting they will continue to adjust lesson plans accordingly. If you would prefer not to be spotted, please let your instructor know

The Studio rules remain pretty much the same

  • You must book your spot via the booking system in advance of the class you wish to attend
  • Don't come to class if you’re sick or are required to self isolate - please cancel your spot on the booking system
  • Wherever possible, come ready in your exercise/dancewear and please don't bring items you don’t need with you to class
  • Arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your class is due to start
  • We strongly recommend you wear a mask to enter/exit the building
  • Sanitise your hands-on entry to the studio and regularly through the session
  • We recommend you sign in or scan the QR code if you're using the test and trace app
  • Take a pole towel as you come in
  • If you're sharing a pole, wipe it down with the disinfected spray at the end of your turn
  • We recommend you continue to distance from anyone else in the room you don't live with
  • Use the phone stands provided for pictures/videos
  • Spotting - This will be at the discretion of the participants (instructor & student)  unless it is in an emergency.  Instructors can choose to wear a mask & students may request a mask or no spot.  If instructors do not feel comfortable spotting they will continue to adjust lesson plans accordingly.
  • Clean your pole at the end of class with the disinfectant provided at your pole
  • Drop your towels in the black box next to the door on your way out
  • Have fun & be safe

Please read our Covid-19 Health Policy. All students will be required to strictly adhere to these rules to ensure we all keep healthy during this time.
